The Federal 100 Awards recognize government, industry and academic leaders who have gone above and beyond to make a difference in the way technology is used to accelerate the missions of federal agencies or their customers. Pineda and the other honorees will be celebrated at the Federal 100 Awards Gala on March 22 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C.

In 2017, she mobilized cross-functional business and technology teams from AbleVets and its partners to help VA bring even more innovation to how it serves Veterans across the continuum of care. This included cyber security services to protect VA networks, systems and sensitive data; mobile apps to help Veterans schedule and manage appointments; and applications that provide integrated views of patient health data.
